Ph.D. Alumnus Jorge Velez-Juarbe: Assistant Curator, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

Dr. Velez-Juarbe, Ph.D.’2012, Department of Anatomy, has accepted the position of Assistant Curator of Marine Mammals at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, California – the largest natural history museum on the West Coast (third largest in the U.S.). He was the successful candidate out of more than 40 international applicants. Dr. Juarbe landed the position after beginning a National Science Foundation postdoctoral fellowship.
